Statement

Education and training in Architectural Design has influenced the style and spirit of my artwork.  My sculptural designs investigate shape, shade, shadow and the effects of light on an object.  Each sculpture is a continuous form that features geometric abstractions, bold colors, deep shadows and a changing visual depth of field.

Exterior sculptural forms are comprised of a wood substructure covered in an applied acrylic stucco with  fiberglass embedded materials from the building trades.  The acrylic stucco is then coated with elastomeric water proofing and finished with exterior acrylic paint. Each  acrylic stucco sculpture is strong for size and light of weight,   If these forms are of interest and a steel sculpture is required that request may be accommodated.                                                                                                                                                                 Interior sculptural table designs are fabricated with a wood substructure, primed and finished with acrylic paint / airbrush for shading and sealed with polyurethane.                 On certain occasions an enamel spray paint is used for the finish coat on the tables.                                                                                                                                                                    Interior sculpture is fabricated of variable materials, wood, fabric, foam, fiberglass and finished with acrylic or enamel spray paint.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         I have been a self employed artist/designer in Pueblo Colorado for the last thirty years.  I work from my studio and sculpture yard at  222 west Abriendo Avenue here in Pueblo, a short drive from I-25 exit 97B.
